George, don’t fast-track ANOTHER pipeline
The company behind Coastal GasLink wants to build another huge fracked gas pipeline across Northern B.C.
Construction could start in August – if government staff change permits, ignore legal conditions and skip consultation with affected First Nations.
Oil lobbyists are pushing hard to fast-track the PRGT pipeline. But they need signoff from one person to make the whole scheme work: B.C’s Minister of Environment.
The current minister, George Heyman, plans to retire this fall. He has no reason to give special treatment to a pipeline company.
Tell George to do the right thing for B.C., our climate and his own political legacy.
