Years after the death of the Northern Gateway oil tanker scheme, Enbridge is trying to resurrect its plan for a giant pipeline to the B.C. coast.
The company is demanding an emergency permit extension for its Westcoast Connector pipeline – a fracked gas proposal that hasn’t moved since 2014.
Building it would drive up heating bills for B.C. families, destroy more salmon habitat and blow our climate targets.
Environment minister George Heyman must decide whether to revive this zombie pipeline.
With enough public support, Heyman can stand up to Enbridge’s shambling horde of lobbyists. He can let this pipeline permit expire. And join the side of the living against endless fossil fuel expansion.
Tell Environment Minister George Heyman: stop Enbridge’s zombie pipeline!
