Landowners learn to protect themselves against fossil fuel corporations
A number of important public events will be taking place in the Peace region to help local landowners understand the implications of fossil fuel development. The events are designed to provide tools for landowners to protect themselves against unwanted impacts of the oil & gas industry.
The meetings will take palce at:
Tuesday, Nov. 2 – Hudson’s Hope School, 7:00 pm.
Wednesday, Nov. 3 – Rolla Community Hall, 7:30 pm
Thursday, Nov. 4 – Fort St. John Cultural Center, 7:30 pm
Speakers:
Andrew Nikiforuk, Business Writer, Governor General’s Award Winner for Non-fiction, Editor of the “Land Advocate,” which has provided so much information about oil/gas activity. Entertaining speaker, presentation packed with information.
Karen Campbell and Tim Howard will be presenting the “Landowner Toolkit” publication, which is a quick reference guide for landowners who are approached by oil company landmen.
