Survey: the backlash against Indigenous rights in B.C. - Dogwood
Over the last decade, a campaign has emerged to push back on court findings of Aboriginal title, downplay the impacts of residential school, and roll back public support for Indigenous rights.

We’re trying to understand how this is playing out in different parts of the province, and how it’s shifting opinions in your community. We’re also curious what might work to rebuild solidarity between Indigenous communities and their neighbours, as B.C. faces serious external threats that affect us all.

This survey has just a few questions and should take a couple of minutes to complete.

Section 2: In the debate over the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, and Indigenous rights more broadly, we’ve heard a number of arguments from all sides. Please say whether you agree or disagree with the following statements:

Section 3: Indigenous leaders are not backing down in their demands for respect and recognition by other levels of government. But First Nations are facing growing pushback across B.C.

We’d like to know a bit more about you, so we can understand what’s happening in different parts of the province. These are optional.

And finally, do you want to receive a summary of survey results, and updates on our campaigns? If so, please fill out your contact info. This part is optional. We'll count your responses either way.

Thank you for taking the time to share your answers. If you’re interested in the topic, here’s a recent article about the origins and scope of the campaign against Indigenous rights.
